Profile
THE CONFERENCE CENTRE
An ancient monastery, the island of San Servolo, with its 11 conference rooms and adjoining 173-room hospitality facility, is one of Venice's centres of excellence for conferences, training seminars and cultural events.
The conference rooms, all with natural light and beautiful views of the park or the lagoon, have recently been renovated and can accommodate meetings from 10 to 300 people. The main conference halls (Auditorium and Theatre) include a reception/secretary area and technical assistance.
In addition to the meeting rooms, we also provide charming spaces for catering services: the Palazzina Grecale, with its 300 seats and dehors overlooking the park, is the perfect option for lunches, social dinners, and corporate exhibitions. The elegant Basaglia room, with access to the 18th-century church courtyard and panoramic terrace, is ideal for welcome cocktails and gala dinners for up to 110 people.
THE RESIDENTIAL CENTRE:
The residential and study centre, with its 173 rooms of different types and standards, offers the opportunity to fully enjoy the conference experience while staying on the island.
All rooms, located in buildings surrounded by the greenery of the centenary park, are equipped with air conditioning, television, hairdryer, mini-fridge, telephone, and Wi-Fi. The reception service is active day and night.
RESTAURANT
Whether for a quick snack or the celebration of an anniversary, San Servolo offers various dining options. Our Café is open daily and offers quick lunches, snacks, and aperitifs. For those who wish to take it easier, the San Servolo Restaurant, open at lunch and dinner, offers a seasonal menu in a modern setting suitable for groups.
THE ISLAND AND ITS PARK
The rooms are surrounded by a beautiful park with centuries-old trees. The 18th-century cloister and church, together with the belvedere and terraces overlooking the lagoon, make the location even more evocative and unique, combining tradition with efficiency and qualified technical-logistical services.
ART AND CULTURE
San Servolo guests can admire an important permanent collection of artworks, including works by Pomodoro, Chia, Plessi, Pino Castagna, Kan Yasuda and Gianni Aricò. In addition, our facilities frequently host temporary exhibitions and side events of the Biennale.
The island hosts the "Museum of the San Servolo Asylum", which collects the exhibits that belonged to the psychiatric hospital, an institution that characterised the history of San Servolo from the early 18th century until 1978. Guided tours of the museum collections and the adjacent 18th-century pharmacy can be organised upon request.
WHERE WE ARE
San Servolo is an oasis of greenery and tranquillity in the heart of the Venetian lagoon: the perfect location to welcome your delegates in a relaxing environment, far from the hustle and bustle of tourism. And when the conference day is over? No worries! St Mark's Square and the centre of Venice are only eight minutes away by vaporetto!
